Present Concerns

Community Building: Through the establishment of the Aviation Subdivision Neighborhood Association (ASNA), Aviation Sub Neighborhood Solutions has cultivated a network of engaged, empowered residents committed to preserving their neighborhood. Through intergenerational events and community gatherings, we bring residents together to build relationships and collectively address neighborhood concerns — laying the groundwork for the expanded programming and facilities we envision for the future.

Elder Support: We are committed to ensuring that aging residents can remain in their homes safely and comfortably, with access to essential services, supplemental support, and home improvement assistance. Our vision includes a community hub with senior housing and on-site services for senior and disabled residents.

Neighborhood Advocacy: As predatory investment continues to threaten neighborhood stability, we remain vigilant in holding negligent property owners accountable and advocating for the dignity and wellbeing of long-time residents — ensuring that our community remains one they can be proud to call home.

Future Plans

CommunityEducation and Training: Offer workshops and training sessions on topics such as blight reduction strategies, access to affordable homeownership, community advocacy, and environmental sustainability

Youth Education and Training: Organize enrichment activities for the neighborhood youth that will promote their academic and social wellbeing. Looking ahead, Aviation Sub Neighborhood Solutions envisions a dedicated community facility that provides programming and services for residents of all ages, including elder housing and support.
