Present Concerns

Community Building: We organize community events and activities, such as neighborhood cleanups, and intergenerational activities that promote social connections and civic engagement.

Elder Support: We identify the needs of elderly residents and formulate strategies towards addressing those needs so that they can age in place with dignity. We currently are working to building networks of supporters.

Neighborhood Advocacy: We preserve neighborhood stability by educating residents, organizing grassroots advocates, and implementing interventions that counter predatory investment and support our aging community.

Future Plans

Community Education and Training: Offer workshops and training sessions on topics such as blight reduction strategies, access to affordable homeownership, community advocacy, and environmental sustainability

Youth Education and Training: Organize enrichment activities for the neighborhood youth that will promote their academic and social wellbeing; this will be done in our own community building.

Community Development & Elder Support: Elder Support and Aging in Place: Support aging residents by offering essential services, supplemental support, and home improvement assistance to help them remain at home safely and comfortably. Our vision includes a community hub with senior housing and on-site services for senior and disabled resident. .
